Support The Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund

Gifts of cash are the most common way of supporting the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc.® Your gift to our (fundraising organization) is tax deductible. Presently KSEF has four categories of gifts:

Online Donation

Make an online credit card payment using PayPal. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card accepted.

Named Endowed Scholarship Program (NESP)

This program permits donors to name the scholarship that they have endowed and requires either a one-time payment of at least $5,000 or a pledge of at least $5,000 over the course of three years with an initial payment of $1,667.00 and the remainder paid in increments of at least $1,667.00 per year.

General Donations

Gifts of Securities

Gifts of securities, especially appreciated stock, offer two distinct advantages to the donor a charitable income tax deduction and elimination of a capital gains tax.

Gifts of other Capital Assets
It may be to your advantage to make a gift of other capital assets. These assets include real estate, works of art, insurance, antiques, jewelry, etc. The advantages of any particular gift depend on the donor’s circumstances. One’s estate assets may be distributed over the owner’s lifetime in order to reduce future estate taxes and administrative costs.

Life Income Plans
Life income gifts may be funded through a variety of assets, including those described above.

Life Insurance
A donor may name the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc.® irrevocably as the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

Bequests
A donor may add the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc.® to his/her will as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary. Bequest of at least $5,000 may be used to establish a Named Endowed Scholarship (NESP).

Matching Gifts
Many companies have a program that matches gifts to nonprofit tax-exempt organizations. This information and the appropriate forms should be available in your employer’s personnel department.
